Maori And English Colours

 We have been learning about Maori and English colours and how to say them.

The digital learning object I've chosen to create is and scratch game about Maori English colours because the Maori language is important.

I enjoyed this learning because I get to make a scratch game which I very much enjoy!

One thing I would like to learn next about this is the Maori numbers and other things about this after the numbers and other after that.

A question I still have about this is how did the Maori and English colors get their name

Mandela art

This time we have been learning about mandala art and we all so did it on paper with compasses.

I enjoyed doing the digital one because I just duplicated and then turned it around.

It was quite challenging to do the paper one because you had to focus really carefully with the compass because it's easy because it's easy to muck up.

next time I will make it more challenging by coloring it.

Rimu Podcast

 Some of my favourite things that I've learned to do is scratch because you can do many things . (you can see some more in the screencastify that we made).

Some of the things that have been the most challenging are the people around us were talking loudly and they also were interrupting us.

Some things I wish we had learned about that we didn't, or learned more about are how to prevent other people talking and us restarting all over again.

When we made our review, I was thinking about how the screencastify would be like with someone away.

Digital Painting

Some of my favourite things that I've learned to do include : how to do a summer learning journey task, how to colour in a wave digitally and how to use the colouring tools.

Some of the things that have been the most challenging were the colours because the colours changed when clicked in different places.

Some things I wish we had learned about that we didn't, or learned more about are how old it was and if we could do another one.

When we made our review, I was thinking about how cool it would be if you could paint like that and how did they get the colours like that.

Twelve Days Of A Kiwi Xmas

Some of my favourite things that I've learned to do include reading a book called A Pukeko In a Ponga tree.

Some of the things that have been the most challenging are working together because someone deleted the first few slides

Some things I wish we had learned about that we didn't, or learned more about are what other people would like to do.

When we made our review, I was thinking about how long it was taking because other groups were finishing

A Moment In Time

I learnt about writing a moment in time about a  squirrel and a hawk using descriptive language.

I enjoyed watching the video because it was funny at the end when the squirrel looked out of the hole.

It was hard to choose either the squirrel or the hawk because they are both clever and funny.

It was easy to write the paragraph because you just need to write in the squirrel perspective or the hawk perspective.

Next time I will put lot's more of descriptive words and sentences.

What Xmas Means To Me

I learnt about what Xmas means to me and how fun it is for others.

I enjoyed making the window because it's fun making small things.

It was challenging to do the writing because there are so many things to write about.

It was easy to make the room because it is only the inside of a cube.

Next time I will make the room more detailed.

I learnt how to get through the slideshow because I didn't really understand them and where to find really good quotes.

I enjoyed finding the background because it is one of the best things to do because there are so many of them.

It was challenging to get through the slideshow because I didn't understand the instructions that well

It was easy to find a quote and background because the good ones stand out more than the others.

next time I will put a lot more time into it to make it more detailed.

Fireworks Poem

I learnt about writing acrostic poems and fireworks this is what you do to make them : use a word like fireworks and put the in a straight line going downwards and write sentences about the word that you use.

I enjoyed coming up with the sentences because it is fun to write things of the top of your and to make things up that make sense.

It was challenging to find backgrounds because they make it hard to see the words so it was this background that I went with.

It was easy to come up with b a n g b o o m because the fireworks normally sound like that.

next time I will make my sentences longer so you can enjoy it more and visit my blog more.

Bikes in school

Reflection

I learnt about recounts and how to ride the pump track we also got to have a lot of fun. But safety is always first otherwise we wouldn't be able to do this at all.

I enjoyed riding around the bumpy pump track. And having lots of fun on it and we will be able to do the skills track next probably be very fun. maybe the best!

it was challenging to write all the details and finish fast .

It was easy to do almost everything except finishing on time so I could eat.

Next time I will ad detail and more descriptive words.

My Post Card

I learnt how to recognize something that fake and something that is real and to recognise a scam.

I enjoyed doing this whole thing : background, images, stems and posting.

It was challenging to get finished on time because I do some things slow.

It was easy to remove the background because I have done it a million times!

I will make the lighting better because it doesn't look to good.

What Makes A Good Recount

I am learning about recaping about what makes a good recount.

I found it easy to put the writing into a blog post.

I found it hard to find keywords.

Next time I will try put more keywords.

Tiana and I thought about thing you need most in recount writing.

•  Rich paragraphs.
• short but quality.
• things that you have done recently.
• past tense.
• recrafting or editing.
• written in the correct order.
• include hear, see, smell and your other senses.
• pant a pitcher in the reader's mind.
• don't include boring scentses.
• who, what, where, why and how.

My goal for the term is use richer words in my writing.

polylining birds

 We have been learning about birds and how to polyline them.

The digital learning object I've chosen to create is a lot of polylines of birds because it will inspire other people to do some polylines and have fun.

I enjoyed this learning because polylining is one of my favorite things to do.

One thing I would like to learn next is how to do a good curve picture.

Birds

 We have been learning about bird and how to make them come into my school and not being hunted.

The digital learning object I've chosen to create is a google drawing about birds because It is learning and I like it.

I enjoyed this learning because I like polylining other objects and making them detailed.

One thing I would like to learn next about next is sea creatures.

A question I still have about this is how many birds there are in the world.

NZ Bird

 We have been learning about NZ birds and a Endemic, Native, Introduced birds.

The digital learning object I've chosen to create a slideshow about NZ birds because it will help with quizzes.

I enjoyed this learning because bird are one of my favourite animals.

One thing I would like to learn next about sea creatures is how they breathe.

A question I still have about this is how do the kiwi not fly.

 We have been learning about the beginning or you could call it Rangi & Papa.

The digital learning object I've chosen to create is animation and screencastify about Rangi and Papa because it is good to give people a good thought about different culture.

I enjoyed this learning because animation and screencastify are awesome.

One thing I would like to learn next about this is how long has the been around.

A question I still have about is why is the mum called Papa.

Is the Environment our Responsibility?

 We have been learning about the environment and that we need to protect it so we can get stuff from it.

The digital learning object I've chosen to create a persuasive piece of writing because people might listen to the environment and let it have rights.

I enjoyed this learning because the environment will be allowed to grow and live longer.

I found it easy to find a background because it's only grass.

I found it easy to use voice typing because I have done it a lot.

I found it challenging to put my title in because I keep on forgetting to.

The Amazing Awapuni School Fun Run

The Amazing Awapuni School Fun Run

“Yippy” I yell as we jog onto the ruby field to find our mat to sit on for the day until it’s our turn to run

While we Wait we cheer on the little kids as they run as fast as there little legs can carry them. As the age groups go up so does the speed they are going so it’s harder to see who is who. Once it got to fast  that we just did hand games, and watch a little bit more running because it was funny to watch people slip in the mud and get soaked in the slip ‘n’ slide.

Finally it was our turn and got up and went to the blue flag, then the hooter went and we stared running throw the first thing which was the powdery pant when we went throw some in my mouth, it was Disgusting it taste like raw chicken! That was the only bad part but the rest was fine, but my favourite part was the mud pit because it was shallow at first but suddenly got deep and I nearly going to fall over, but I just made it without falling over.

After the mud pit it was the slip ‘n’ slide my 2nd favourite thing on the course because it was very slippery and wet. I went and slid along way before I stopped, We finished around the green flag when the horn went and we had to stop.

We waited until it was the time for the big re-rely with teachers and parents and student leaders and intermediate kids. When the horn blow they started running hard out! When  they got to the mud pit Mr Barclay dove into the mud pit he was covered in mud head to toe! In the end the intermediate kids won teachers came 2nd student leaders came 3rd.

We were learning about writing quality recounts so if some wants to know what you were doing over the holiday we would be able to answer them.

I found it easy to put my writing into paragraphs because I have been doing it for quite a long time.

I found it challenging to think of a quality sentence because they are hard to find in my opinion.

Next time I will make it more detailed so you can enjoy it more and give me more comments.

Learning About Amazing Comments

We were learning about a quality blog comment and power words to not make comments boring.

I found it easy to work with another person because it was my friend Zane.

I found it challenging to find backgrounds and images because there is to much to choose from.

Next time I will do a better comment and and find interesting backgrounds because then I would be more detailed.

I found it easy to duplicate the slides because I have done a animation.

I found it easy to find the research on the web because our teacher had some sites for us to look at.

I found it easy to combine the penguin with fire because I had a friend to help me.

Hi my name is Archie and I go to Awapuni School. I like playing soccer and I like surfing. I come from New Zealand, I live with my mum and dad.

I am very good at maths And I like playing soccer. I want to get better at spelling. I Want to be the fastest in my year group. That is my goal for the year.

Certificate

In lock down we had home school. On Friday we had assembly and Ned and I got a certificate and even Honey our dog got a certificate as well! 😁.


 

Rain in a glass

full a large glass of water till it's half full then put some shaving cream then get full one and a half cups of water then put 10 drops of food colouring into it then slowly pour it into the glass of shaving cream
hope it looks like rain 😁.

In the holidays we made a marble run out of wood and corrugated iron

My Holiday

In the holidays I sprained my wist so we went to the hospital  to get it a x-ray  because
my mum was scared I broke it but I did't.
